Practice the 5F's!

I recognize that sports participation can be among the most fun and rewarding aspects of my life.  To help ensure I get the most of this experience, I pledge to:

Fairness:  Whether playing or spectating, I recognize that sports participation is a privilege; therefore, I must always honor the game, my teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches.  When I do not, I need to fix what I have broken. 

Focus:  My effort will be directed towards mastering my individual and team-related skills and those of my teammates, not the scoreboard or the standings.

Fellowship:  I will treat all others with respect and recognize that mistakes are how we learn.  I accept that constructive criticism is part of learning, but it should never be offered at the expense of someone’s self-esteem.

Fusion:  I am part of a team.  What hurts one individual affects the whole. 

Fun:  I will always focus on the big picture and savor every minute of the game.  It doesn’t last forever and I will miss it when it is gone.
